Program Proposal: Allyship in Action – A Safe Space for Learning and Growth

Program Overview:The Allyship in Action program is designed to provide allies with a safe, judgment-free space to ask honest, uncomfortable, or uncertain questions about the Aurora Black Community (ABC), anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. This quarterly Zoom series encourages open dialogue, promotes education, and empowers allies to deepen their understanding and actively contribute to fostering an inclusive community.

Program Objectives:

  1. Foster Learning: Provide a platform for allies to gain insights into anti-racism practices, ABC’s mission, and the importance of allyship in building inclusive communities.

  2. Encourage Dialogue: Create a space where participants feel safe to ask questions without fear of judgment or backlash, promoting honest and productive conversations.

  3. Strengthen Allyship: Equip participants with actionable steps and resources to become effective allies in their workplaces, schools, and communities.
