Service Description

Les Brown, who is my mentor, says, “Align yourself with people that you can learn from, people who want more out of life, people who are stretching and searching and seeking some higher ground in life.”He also says, “Help others achieve their dreams, and you will achieve yours.” That is our goal of these mentorships and workshops, a safe place for youths ages 5 to 25 and their parents to strengthen relationships, address barriers, and accessibility, assist with resources and connections, and create a safe place for Black newcomers to receive support around racism, equity and inclusion. Better financial literacy is needed in our Black community — to create better economic wealth through ownership, healthier relationships with money, and better access to business resources and funds. Black communities play an essential role in the economy, but in comparison to other cultures, many struggles with financial wellness. These financial education sessions identify gaps, provide solutions, and share strategies to overcome barriers in the areas of mortgages, investments, life Insurance, business insurance, savings, debts, credit history, and much more. Anyone can join; however, this program focuses mainly on Black families to address biases, barriers, stigmas, and cultural mindsets that hold back Black cultures from excelling.
